Providing food retail insights for long-term strategy

A financial firm wanted to understand food retail trends to overcome challenges and develop long-term strategies.

What we did

We met quarterly with the investment firm to provide insights into the latest trends and developments in the retail market. They used our store visit program and imagery to provide a holistic view of the market, and we conducted Q&As with the investment partners to give them further insight and if our views differed.

We also completed ad-hoc projects based on an investment case, or theory that the investment firm had, around online shopping, the rise of the discounters, or the growth of variety stores, like B&M
