Store transformation and enhanced customer experience

A new CEO aimed to enhance their retail chain’s performance and customer experience. They sought an overview of their stores and competitor stores to identify where their efforts should be directed.

What we did

We put our unique perspectives to the test by visiting each store individually, sometimes multiple times a day, to gauge their performance across different hours.

Our thorough examination revealed common themes: backlogged property issues, store environment hurdles, and inconsistent signage of new and old. In addition to these general retail challenges, we tackled concerns related to product range, pricing, and more, offering practical solutions.

We also seized opportunities to drive trade. Aligning prices on promotional and shelf-edge signs, optimising seasonal stock distribution to coastal stores for peak warm-weather sales, and minimising markdowns were all in focus.

Our efforts didn’t stop at discovery. We shared our findings and provided training to the executive committee, board of directors, and store teams. Our goal? To enhance store performance and create an exceptional shopping experience.
